FlushControl: A New Endoscope Reprocessing Device for Streamlined Cleaning

At Dovideq, we’ve been working on something truly meaningful for the future of endoscope care. Endoscope cleaning and reprocessing remain essential steps in protecting patients and preserving delicate equipment, yet the process is often complex, time‑consuming, and dependent on multiple devices and manual actions. These challenges can make it difficult for healthcare teams to maintain consistent, high‑quality results.

To address these issues, we developed FlushControl, a next‑generation endoscope reprocessing device that brings key pre‑cleaning steps together in one automated system. FlushControl integrates leak testing, precise endoscope detergent dosing, and thorough endoscope channel flushing into a single streamlined workflow. The result is a simplified process that reduces handling errors and supports healthcare professionals in delivering safer, more reliable outcomes.

What is FlushControl?

FlushControl is a compact, all‑in‑one endoscope reprocessing device that brings three essential pre‑cleaning steps together in a single automated system:

  • Leak testing – Verifies that the endoscope is intact, watertight, and safe for continued use.

  • Detergent dosing – Delivers precise and consistent endoscope detergent dosing to support effective pre‑cleaning.

  • Flushing & rinsing – Performs sequential endoscope channel flushing with detergent and water, followed by an air purge to remove residual fluids.

By integrating these critical steps into one streamlined workflow, FlushControl reduces complexity, minimizes handling errors, and enhances the overall efficiency of endoscope reprocessing.

Key Benefits of FlushControl

Efficiency – FlushControl combines leak testing, precise endoscope detergent dosing, and automated endoscope channel flushing in a single device, reducing manual steps and significantly streamlining the workflow.

Consistency – Automated, repeatable processes ensure every endoscope is cleaned and prepared to the same high standard, supporting reliable outcomes across teams and shifts.

Safety – Integrated leak testing and controlled flushing cycles help protect both patients and delicate endoscope equipment by reducing the risk of damage or incomplete cleaning.

Ease of Use – An intuitive touchscreen interface supports easy configuration and setup. The screen allows staff to adjust settings or select workflows. During operation, hands‑free control is available through an optional foot switch, helping simplify use and maintain an efficient workflow.

Traceability –  Detailed digital records of each procedure support compliance, auditing, and quality assurance. FlushControl can also connect to a printer for on the spot reporting and integrates directly with EndoscopeManager to enhance data accessibility and provide full digital traceability.

Universal Compatibility – FlushControl works with all major endoscope brands and fits easily into existing workflows, so departments don’t need to change their setup to use it.

Reduced Biofilm Risk – The system’s design helps reduce the risk of biofilm buildup, supporting safer and more reliable pre‑cleaning.

Automatic Blockage Detection – FlushControl monitors channel flow and alerts staff if a blockage is detected, helping prevent issues before they move further into the process.

Enchancing Safety and Reliability in Reprocessing

FlushControl reflects Dovideq’s ongoing commitment to advancing medical technology through innovation, reliability, and user‑focused design. By standardizing and automating key steps in the reprocessing workflow, it helps improve patient safety, delivers more consistent results, and frees healthcare professionals to focus on providing quality care.
